Scott Moncrieff

Scott Moncrieff has played regularly in the Shetland music scene as a solo act, and as a member of several bands, since early 2018.

Since joining the lineup of the 2023 Folk Festival, Scott has performed his mixed sets of original and American folk covers at Tall Ships Lerwick and several Shetland Young Musicians concerts, alongside gigging and busking while studying in Edinburgh. Starting out with covers of country artists such as Waylon Jennings, John Prine, and Tyler Childers, Scott has taken a shift towards original music in recent years drawing inspiration from artists such as Ben Howard, Dave Van Ronk, Kris Drever, and Jim Croce.
