Thank you for looking to buy Membership for the 2024 Shetland Folk Festival.

What membership entitles you to has changed a bit in recent years so please read the following information carefully and tick the box at the bottom of the page to confirm that a) you understand what membership entitles you to and b) you wish to proceed.

Membership continues to be excellent value for money. It will make your concert tickets considerably cheaper, give you access to a Northlink travel discount and give you access to daytime Festival club activities.

Please note the following points:

•  2024 SFFS Membership will be required for access to the Festival Club.
•  2024 SFFS Membership will give you access (numbers permitting) to DAYTIME musical programming and other workshops, sessions etc within our Festival Club at Islesburgh Community Centre. The opening times that this applies to are Thursday-Sunday inclusive 11am-6.30pm (earlier close on Sunday of 5.30pm). We'll be actively encouraging sessions in the Festival Club during the day and we will have some resident club musicians whose role will be to help keep the sessions going.
•  There will be a late night Festival Club (with 3am closure) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights but please note that this will be ticketed on Friday and Saturday. Only 2024 Festival members will be able to buy ticket(s) for this and performers will not be unveiled until the night. Thursday late Club will be un-ticketed and predominantly for sessions only. There will be no Sunday Festival Club Late as there has been in previous years (which instead will be open for volunteers and performers only)
• Membership will not be required for purchasing tickets for our ticketed late-night concerts at the Lerwick Legion BUT early members will have priority booking of those tickets.
• Festival membership will make your tickets considerably cheaper but please note each SFFS Member may only purchase one membership priced afternoon concert ticket, one membership priced evening concert and one late night ticket per festival day.
•  Members securing Early Membership (purchased during February) will have improved chance of securing the concert tickets they desire. Concert tickets to early members will go on sale at 6pm UK time on Monday 18th March 2024. All tickets will be sold on a strictly first come first served basis and due to high demand, even some early members will not be able to purchase tickets originally hoped for. Non-membership priced tickets will only go on sale on Monday 25th March. It is not possible for early members to buy non-membership tickets until that date.
• For members and non-members, there will be adult priced tickets and under-18s priced tickets ONLY. Some ticketed events will be over 18s only and some will only be open for over 14s, who must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. The latter rule (over 14s) will apply to Festival Club late night tickets.
• Memberships and tickets issued by the Shetland Folk Festival are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Festival membership will only be on sale until Tuesday 30th April. Memberships will not be on sale over the Festival weekend.
•  Festival members are entitled to a 30% discount off the passage & vehicles part of the fare with Northlink Ferries (no discount available on the cabins). The discount code will be sent with the membership purchase confirmation email and will apply to Festival related travel between Aberdeen and Lerwick between 24th April and 13th May.
