Adam Sutherland is one of Scotland’s most exciting fiddle players and composers. Having performed with outfits such as The Treacherous Orchestra, Session A9, Peatbog Faeries, Babelfish and Croft no. Five, he is now launching his own solo career.
Hailing from Errogie on the south shores of Loch Ness, Adam Sutherland is one of Scotland’s most exciting fiddle players and composers, with his most famous tune being The Road To Errogie. Central to the sound of outfits such as The Treacherous Orchestra, Session A9, Peatbog Faeries, Babelfish and Croft no. Five, he is now launching his own solo career, performing all his own tunes with his brand new band of well known friends and superb Scottish musicians.
Recorded live at The Ceilidh Place in Ullapool in front of a live studio audience. Adam launched his debut solo album “Squall” in the summer of last year.
Adam’s tunes continue to be played in sessions and by artistes all over the world – with the introduction "this tune is written by Adam Sutherland becoming a bit of a catchphrase in many bands.
Adam has performed at many Shetland Folk Festivals over the years with various outfits and it is fantastic to welcome him back once more. He will be appearing with Marc Clement on Guitar, Iain Copeland on drums and Ewan Vernal on bass.
