BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS...

We are so sorry to disappoint so many but the Statsraad Lehmkuhl will no longer be able to attend the Shetland Folk Festival this week. The ship is home in Bergen and undergoing emergency repairs following damage sustained a few days ago. We know lots of you were excited to be going on board, but we are assured by its lovely crew that they will be back next year for our 40th festival!
The GOOD news is that there are still LOTS of great events that you can take part in instead! On Friday afternoon we are rescheduling some of the live music planned for the ship in the Festival Club foyer between 4pm and 5.15pm. Members can come along and enjoy some refreshments from our Club bar while listening to local acts Plagiarism and Beltane Ree!
On Saturday afternoon there are two ticketed concerts with availability - one at the Festival Club (members only) and another at Mareel (Blazin' a Trail) where we are showcasing some amazing local youth talent on the line-up alongside Blazin' Fiddles.
On Saturday afternoon there will also be a variety of workshops plus a gin tasting and meet the artist (Tim Edey) in the festival club. These are all FREE and available to members only.
