The Revellers got together 5 years ago (starting out as a Levellers covers band) but are now regarded as one of Shetland's most entertaining and exciting groups with their mixture of fast and furious playing and flamboyant stage antics.
The seven-piece combine fiddle and banjo driven melodies with a heavy rock middle section and play a mixture of original songs as well as their own interpretations of traditional favourites with influences ranging from Lau to Metallica.
The band launched their debut album ‘Renegades’ to a huge ovation at last year’s festival and went on their first mainland UK tour last Autumn. They were also the first act to sell-out Mareel shortly after the venue’s completion and hope to play more festivals ‘Sooth’ in the coming year.
