Mollie O'Brien & Rich Moore
Husband and wife duo Mollie O’Brien and Rich Moore have been making music together since they met in 1981.
Grammy Award winner Mollie O'Brien became known to the rest of the world as a singer's singer in 1988, when she released the first of three critically-acclaimed albums with her brother Tim, who she perormed with at the Shetland Folk Festival in 1997 and 2006. Mollie went on to record five equally well-received solo albums. Audiences love her fluid ability to make herself at home in any genre - jazz, R&B, blues, gospel, southern mountain traditional — while never sacrificing the essence of the song she performs.
Husband Rich Moore has been busy in the Colorado music scene for over 25 years. Not only is he a powerhouse guitar player who can keep up with O'Brien's twists and turns from blues to traditional folk to rock and roll, he is known to produce some of the funniest onstage commentary. Rich has been said to ‘create a band with just his guitar’.
Based in Denver, the couple released their first studio recording ‘Saints and Sinners’ together in 2010 followed by 'Love Runner' in 2014.
