Freda Leask is a singer song-writer from Shetland.
Her work varies from folk songs inspired by the Shetland landscape, history and dialect to compositions with a rootsy more americanana style.
Freda has recently released a series of original singles accompanied and produced by award-winning Scottish musician Kris Drever and the hugely talented Tim Matthew.
Joining her this year to showcase some of the material are excellent accompanists: Seth Travins (double bass) and David Boyter (guitar and mandolin) and Tim Matthew ( fiddle and percission).
