Siobhan Miller
The only ever three-time winner of Scots Singer of the Year (2017, 2013, 2011), Siobhan Miller is widely regarded as one of the foremost vocalists in Scotland. Her soulful and stirring renewal of traditional song effortlessly stills and silences all spaces, from vast concert halls to the bar sessions afterwards.
Following her well-received and Scots Trad Music Awards nominated debut album, Flight of Time, her hotly-anticipated follow-up, Strata was released in February 2017 to wide critical acclaim. Siobhan’s award-winning style has been honed through collaborations and studies with many of Scotland’s top musicians. A recipient of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award, alongside Jeana Leslie – with whom they performed at the Shetland Folk Festival in 2012 and went on to release two acclaimed albums - Siobhan is also a former member of folk group Salt House.
Nationwide television appearances, performances for royalty and heads of state, appearances on the US/UK TV drama Outlander, and outings at many of the UK’s major folk festivals illustrate just why she has been lauded as “the finest young interpreter of Scots traditional song” (Scotland on Sunday).
Siobhan will be performing with her band consisting of Euan Burton (double bass), Innes White (guitar), John Lowrie (keys) and Louis Abbot (drums).
