George Spence

Taking a short trip home from his studies at the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow, is Unst musician and former Shetland's Young Fiddler of the year, George Spence who will be accompanied by resident Festival Club musician, Hamish Napier on piano

Talented youngster George Spence was announced the Shetland Young Fiddler of the Year in 2017 and in the same year picked up the Curley Jamieson Memorial Cup for the junior tune competion.  

Now studying traditional music at the Royal Conservatoire, he has performed at a number of RCS's Traditional Music Concerts as well as being invited home with fellow student Sam Cleary to support Rose Room in Shetland in 2021.
