This year we have moved to an e-ticketing system, and you'll have received e-tickets in the form of a QR code and number if you purchased membership and/or tickets this year.
While changes like this always take a bit of getting used to, we're confident that it is going to be a success. That said, we wanted to provide you with some information to help smooth the process for you and for our team of volunteers who'll be at each venue checking you in.
Finding your tickets
On your order confirmation email you will see two buttons:
- View Online: This button takes you to a secure area on our website where you can see all the orders, tickets and memberships associated with the email address used for the order. From here you can download printable (PDF) versions of your tickets individually, or by order or concert.
- View Download: This button takes you to a PDF which contains all the tickets purchased in your order.
If you can't find your order confirmation email, visit www.shetlandfolkfestival.com/u and enter your email address. If the email address is found in our system you'll receive an email with a link to access your View Online area where you can see your purchases and download printable versions.
Membership wristbands
If you purchased a 2026 festival membership, you will need to collect your wristband before accessing the Festival Club. Each membership holder must collect their own wristband, as our volunteer stewards attach these securely on collection. No wristbands can be collected on behalf of others. You can collect your wristband from the Festival Club at Islesburgh on the following dates:
- Wednesday 29th April: 4.30pm - 8.00pm
- Thursday 30th April - Saturday 2nd May: 11.00am - 11.00pm each day.
- Sunday 3rd May: 11.00am - 5.00pm.
You'll need to bring your membership e-ticket with you. Once scanned and confirmed, a volunteer steward will attach your wristband.
Bringing your tickets
When you arrive at a concert, your ticket will need to be scanned to check it is valid before you can enter the venue. Our volunteers will need to be able to see the QR code on your e-ticket and the ticket number below it.
You can bring your tickets in whatever format works best for you, whether that’s on your phone or device, or printed out. On a device, you can present your ticket in various forms, including the downloaded PDF, a screenshot of the QR code and ticket number, or the ticket in your View Online area.
If you've purchased tickets for several people who might not be arriving at the same time, please make sure each person has their own copy of their ticket in advance.
Please be aware that many venues don't have Wifi, and mobile data can be unreliable - particularly in Lerwick. Make sure you have a version of your ticket that you can access without an internet connection before you arrive.
Still need to buy?
Our move to e-ticketing this year means you can buy tickets for a concert up until 1 hour before its doors open. Click below to buy tickets:
