Astryd and Kaela Jamieson

Astryd and Kaela Jamieson are sisters from Tingwall who have grown up surrounded by music. They are best known as two-thirds of the band Kollifirbolli, along with Gletness fiddler Mary Rutherford.

The girls have played widely throughout the isles, in events such as the Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival, Glusstonberry and Fiddle Frenzy. 

The girls have released two recordings with the most recent being their album, ‘careful mixing is the secret to success’, which was released in December 2012. Their first recording, ‘The loveliest new version of a favourite style’, was released as an EP (extended playlist) in 2011.
