The Peter Wood Shetland Dance Band

Peter is one of Shetland's best accordion players and tutors with a career spanning decades. This band was only formed three years ago but in that time they have released two successful CD's with one winning an award for the best new release of the year from the National Association of Accordion and Fiddle Clubs.

The band was also nominated for the dance band section at the MG Trad Awards 2016. They play a mixture of traditional, continental, Scandinavian, swing and country music featuring guitar, vocals, fiddle, accordion and drums.
