Athough only two gigs into their career, Herkja are already creating a stir as potentially one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from the Shetland music scene in recent years.
Combining vocals and stunning harmonies with fiddle, accordion, piano and harmonium, they focus on contemporary and traditional folk songs, and tunes, with Scottish, Irish and Scandinavian influences.
We're very excited to have them back at the Festival this year - they really are not to be missed!
Here's a short clip of them rehearsing in the Mareel's facilities - we all know that toilets have the best acoustics!
