Adam Guest Band

Folk/blues four piece the Adam Guest Band have honest writing and delivery at their core.

With a Yorkshire lilt and finely crafted songs, Barnsley born, Shetland singer-songwriter Adam Guest is a regular of the isles’ music scene, as well as clocking up festival appearances in Shetland, Yorkshire and mainland Scotland. 

2014 saw the release of his first EP Open The Book - documenting his move north. Adam was joined by bandmates Kirsten Hendry (fiddle), David Sjoberg (bass) and Mark Smith (drums), and in 2020 they released their first live album recorded at The Shetland Folk Festival. Guitarist Jonathon Bulter joined the band, bringing sparkle and punch to Adam’s storytelling.  

After ten years living in Shetland and national radio coverage of his self-penned songs, Adam released his debut album, Solitude & Grace in December 2023. The 11-track record is a culmination of a decade of performing and writing in the isles and features tales and characters nodding back to his South Yorkshire roots.
