Filskit is an exciting young Shetland dance band that burst onto the scene in October 2023, bringing a fresh twist to the traditional dance band setup. With an eclectic lineup of accordion, electric guitar, fiddle, and drums, they deliver a lively and unique sound that stands out in the Accordion and Fiddle scene.

The band’s repertoire spans energetic tunes from Shetland, Scotland, Ireland, and America, showcasing their versatility and love for diverse musical traditions. Since forming, Filskit has enjoyed performing at a variety of events across Shetland, including the Shetland Folk Festival, Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival, and various charity concerts.
