George Spence and Jacob Henderson

Fiddle player George Spence, from Unst, grew up in a musical family and has been playing the fiddle since the age of 8.

He was the winner of Shetland’s Young Fiddler of the Year and also won the prize for the Junior Tune Competition for one of his compositions. Some influences and styles in his playing are: Shetland Traditional, Bluegrass, Canadian and North East Scottish. He will be accompanied by the talented Jacob Henderson who is fast becoming a recognisable face in the Shetland session music scene.
