Sheila Henderson Band

Whether solo acoustic, or with her band, Sheila is a diminutive, musical tour-de-force.

Proud to be part of the Shetland musical community, she has performed all over Shetland and beyond since a young age, honing her vocal talents. Her music of choice is country, with early influences such as Emmylou Harris and Patsy Cline evidence in her powerful voice. She’s gone on to write her own songs following in the same style and would probably find herself classified under Americana.

Sheila will be playing at the festival with some other stellar Shetland musicians, On bass and vocals, Ivor “Fred” Polson, who has been a long-standing member of her band and need no introduction to Shetland audiences. Bringing some slick guitar skills into the mix will be Trevor Smith (Shoormal/Laeverick), and last, but certainly not least the, Kirsten Hendry, one of Shetland’s finest fiddlers will add some classy fiddle accompaniment and vocal harmonies too!
