Steve Cousins
Steve Cousins is the international circus man and variety entertainer from Wangi Wangi, Australia who will bring some street theatre, comedy and circus skills to the 35th Shetland Folk Festival.
Many remember his appearance on season 2 of Britain’s Got Talent as he presented his infamous routine with a giant balloon as ‘The Balloonatic’.
When not travelling the world as a performer, he is the director of a circus school and creates community performances using young people and adults. A passionate sharer of performance arts and circus skills, Steve has travelled from New Zealand to Norway, South Africa to Sumburgh. Last in Shetland in 2006, we have invited Steve again to assist us with our youth programming and development events.
