It's the 27th -30th April 2017, you know what we're talking about, and you get them in your diary now for the 37th Shetland Folk Festival. So many people are e-mailing and messaging and already making plans for next years festival. It is indeed very heartening for a volunteer committee to know it is such a major thing in peoples calendar's. And I guess that's all we need to say about that....xx

Last Minute Addition to Visiting Acts

The committee have announced an exciting last minute addition to their visiting acts for the 36th Shetland Folk Festival with the seven-piece Tsuumi Sound System from Finland. They will attend as a replacement act for Huun-Huur-Tu, who unfortunately had to withdraw from the Festival last week due to unforeseen circumstances.

It will soon be time to start planning your Shetland Folk Festival weekend of music and sleep-deprivation as the committee has just announced a vast and varied selection of local bands performing at the 36th annual event. To complete their visiting artiste line-up, the committee is also announcing the addition of one final act from Scandinavia.
