Lana Elaine, Calum Morrison and Stephen Henderson

Lana Elaine, Calum Morrison and Stephen Henderson

Hailing from Shetland and Glasgow, this trio forms a fantastic cultural mixture. Lana and Calum are both multi instrumentalists.

With Calum on guitar, mandolin and vocals and Lana on accordion, piano and vocals, the audience will always be in for a very varied performance. They have played in London, Celtic Connections and the Oran Mor in Glasgow as well as the Shetland Folk Festival last year. All three are students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formally the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama).

Stephen Henderson, who is studying a degree in Jazz performance, has performed on the glade stage at the legendary Glastonbury festival with Simon Atkinson and the Ben Mercato trio when he was just 16 years old. He has played in many groups such as he Tommy Smith Youth Jazz orchestra and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotand. He will perform with the latter at the London Barbican later this year as part of the London Jazz festival. This is Stephens first trip to Shetland accompanying local girl Lana.
