Scott Moncrieff

Scott Moncrieff is a young musician who has been involved in Shetland’s music scene since mid-2018.

Appearing as a solo act and as part of multiple bands, his performances have seen several genres and playing styles. Most recently, Moncrieff was part of the line-up for the Young Musicians Night in the Mareel Auditorium, as well as Shetland Arts’ Hogmanay Variety Concert 2022 alongside some of Shetland’s most accomplished acts. His focus has shifted from covers to original music, citing folk artists such as Bon Iver, Simon & Garfunkel, and Dave Van Ronk as some of his influences, as well as staying true to his earlier covers from artists including Tyler Childers and John Prine. He is an accomplished guitar player and song writer.
